New Personal Art Project

Hey everyone! Happy New Year! I hope your year is off to a great start!

In addition to all the new work in my portfolio section, I am adding a new personal artwork project.

This project is titled “Inspiration at Work”. I designed this piece for my office space at home, but I may have another set printed and framed and placed in my work office as well.

The concept behind this project was to design the typography and layout of four individual pieces. Each piece would contain an inspirational quote that would also translate to a fifth quote to be read across all four pieces when placed in a row. The fifth quote is in reference to “design” that which I can deliver to anyone’s work or company.

The challenge for this project was to find inspirational quotes that could also be used in combination for a fifth quote. After many hours of searching for the right copy, I was able to achieve this final layout.

Overall, I am very happy with the concept, the clean white space and the design and typography. I owe a special thanks to Chase and Joe for their feedback while I worked on this.

Also, a special thanks to the owners of the quotes! (I cannot find the original creators, Eleanor Roosevelt is one of them.)
