2010 – Photo Shoot
The time has come to have actual professional head shots taken, rather than holding the camera out with one hand and taking the best picture possible. That’s pretty lame you know?
I speak at INsight Design Conference and I am also doing some other events this year as well, so it is important to have nice photography taken of yourself. I also felt it was a good idea to add these pictures to my site so my long distance clients and other potential clients know what I look like! It’s nice to see a picture rather than the email signature.
I took a look around an some area photographers but I opted to go with David Leep. David shoots a lot of BMX industry photography, so I felt that I connected with him on some level being that I grew up skateboarding.
David basically came over and turned my entire living room into not only a photo studio but also a sauna. In fact, the entire time he was shooting my furnace did not kick on once! Crazy. All things aside David did a great job and I was totally comfortable and relaxed while he got things in focus. We kicked back an Upland Wheat Ale and got the job done.
I am very happy with the final shots to say the least. All of the shots were super high resolution and just an overall good final product. Cheers David, great job and thanks again.
Oh yeah, we even took a shot for the error pages on my website: http://www.atomgroom.com/this_does_not_exist
Below are a bunch of the shots that I dig, check it out:
