Work is under way on the all new Atom Groom portfolio website! 2010 will bring the most dynamic yet simplistic (design) website my dot com has ever seen. For 2010, I’ll be utilizing WordPress to serve as a content management system and I’ll be building my custom theme around it.

Ever have something trigger old memories? Maybe it’s a smell, a sound, or for me today, something visual. Today, I remembered growing up skateboarding. I remembered the late nights skating with my friends, getting into trouble, and stinking horribly when I got home of sweat. I remembered what skateboarding did for me and how it’s truly affected (in a very positive way), who I am today, and how I arrived at now.

Last week at my full-time job (web developer for PHP, in Valparaiso) I was approached by the sales manager to give a job presentation to the local girl scouts. The local group is required to interview individuals at their job / career, ask questions, etc. In tern, the girls earn a “badge” to add to their belts.

This post is all about my (our) recent trip downtown this past weekend to check out Cut & Paste Chicago.
Overall the event was pretty cool, it’s a pretty unique type of competition. I like to think of it as the “Iron Chef” of the design world, lol, maybe that that’s what it should be called – Iron Designer? Sweet.
